AC installation in Wildwood, MO can help keep your home comfortably cool during the hot, humid summer months we experience in our local area. Residential AC installation services generally include AC replacement as well for when your current air conditioning unit reaches the end of its life. Here’s what you need to know about how these services work and how to know when it is time to replace your system.
"Jerry Kelly always has the best customer service. Technicians are professional and polite. I love that they text with a picture of the tech before arrival."
Residential AC Installation and Replacement Services
In most cases, technicians will install air conditioners while a home is under construction. This is because this is the easiest time to put in the necessary ductwork without requiring any demolition to access the inner workings of the home. Of course, you can always add an air conditioning system later on, but the process will be more difficult, time-consuming, and expensive.
For the most part, if you require AC installation, what you actually need is AC replacement. This simple service involves removing your old equipment and hooking up the new system. Because all of the ductwork was already in place for the old system, the process is quick and straightforward, so there is minimal cost beyond the purchase of the equipment.
It may be time to replace your air conditioner if you notice any of the following signs:
System more than 15 years old
Steadily rising cooling costs
Increased frequency and cost of AC repairs
Difficulty finding necessary parts for repairs
While the cost of purchasing a new air conditioner can be off-putting, you stand to save a lot of money going forward. In addition to the minimal repair needs of newer systems, you’ll also get markedly improved energy efficiency over your old system. This can help keep your energy bills for cooling much more affordable.
Your AC replacement technician can walk you through the many options available to you for your new system. They’ll take into account the requirements of your home, as well as your own personal preferences and budget. This will enable them to make personalized recommendations to meet your needs. Be sure to request a cost estimate for the installation if your technician doesn’t provide one for you. This will ensure you know exactly what to expect when the bill arrives.

Dalton did a great job on his visit today. My husband asked him a question about a cost on a item. He called his manager and was able to give us a discount. We have been with Jerry Kelly for years and their representatives and company have always done a great job for us. We highly recommend them.
Justin was very thorough and explained the problems I’m having with my unit so I understand the problems and can make informed decisions given my options. He also was at the house within just a few hours of me calling for an appointment so I appreciate the timeliness of service.
My tech was Mike C. He was excellent and very knowledgeable. There had been some concerns on my end about carbon monoxide leaking and after a very thorough look over the gas furnace and gas water heater, all the readings came back normal and was a relief! Mike was very friendly and professional and I would happily have him back when I schedule my ac tune up in the near future!
Went to an older family member's house when she was having furnace issues. They tried to upsell everything, resulting in a quote that was 7000-8000 more than other quotes (and 5k higher than next closest quote). They also failed to turn on the backup heating system while there.
I would like to Thank Josh C for the Amazing job and quick response to service need on my Furnace on 2/19/2024 . I called at 8:45aa.M. Josh was here by 10:15A.M. Justin did an amazing job he was very respectful, placing booties on and explaining things so that it was easy to understand. Although the prices were very high and I’ll be going else where for my heating and air conditioning needs in the future. Justin gets a five star from me.
Bret Berry is an excellent technician. He serviced my furnace and humidifier. He was thorough and took time to answer questions from my teenage boys about his career. I highly recommend Jerry Kelly and Bret.
Alex Larson showed up, on time, friendly and did an excellent job explaining the problem to me. Offered a few opttions, what the costs would be, and then he got busy making my furnace run! Even on the most frigid of days!
I HIGHLY recommend you use Jerry Kelly for your heating and cooling needs. We had our furnace installed a year and a half ago, by another company. In the last month, our furnace has went out 3 times. The first 2 times, we had the company that installed the furnace come out to repair it. We paid two $99 service fees, because the first time they didn’t take enough diagnostics to find the root of the problem. The second time they came out, they told us we needed a $900 A-Coil cleaning and our air ducts to be cleaned. Thank goodness we went to Jerry Kelly, because all along it was a wiring issue due to the furnace being installed poorly. 4 hours worth of rewiring at a cost of $300 with a waved service fee, and we’re successfully up and running. Jerry Kelly stated that yes, there is debris on the A-coil and yes, we should get our ducts cleaned (although not an urgent matter) but that is absolutely not the issue. After contacting the company that installed our furnace, we were given a whole $99 back out of our $6000 we’ve spent with them since the day of the installation of our new service. May I add that the same day the initial company installed our furnace, our hot water heater went out. Ironic? We were told that this was not linked to the furnace installation and that they were not liable. We obviously had the water heater replaced by another company that took great care of us. Moral of the story is use Jerry Kelly in order to save yourself from another company that only wants your money.
Bret and Greg did an amazing job. From start to finish they explained everything and conducted themselves in a very professional manner - completed the work to my satisfaction . Excellent 5 stars . Thank you.
Update: Spoke to a manager and they tried to right their wrong by refunding my service fee. Disappointed in how this happened but very appreciative of this correctionQuoted us $12,000 for a new system. That includes a $2,000 “courtesy”. Got a second option and we just needed a wire replaced. Ended up costing $160 (a service fee). What an absolute scam. If you’re young/first time homeowner, they will try to take advantage of you.
