It was a brisk November morning and over 350 people shuffled into the Mills Mall at 8 am. No, it wasn’t a Black Friday special and there weren’t any Apple iThings being announced. It was the official campaign kickoff for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and their “Thanks and Giving” campaign.
The 5K event was dubbed “Give Thanks. Walk,” and originated in St. Louis several years ago. This year, Jerry Kelly Heating and Cooling was honored to be a Gold Sponsor and helped raise over $600 in addition to the sponsorship! The event itself raised over $30,000 but that’s just in St. Louis alone. Over 22,000 people in over 60 communities walked with friends and families and raised $2.2 million to support children diagnosed with cancer.
We’d like to take this time to thank everyone in our local community who walked in the event and everyone who helps support St. Jude Children’s Hospital in their efforts.
