- “End of life” warning. Although this is a feature that’s included with most new CO detectors, older units might not give an “end of life” warning. This is an important feature because your detector will let you know when it’s time for a replacement.
- Digital and backlit display. Just like programmable thermostats, it’s nice to have a digital display and backlit lighting on your carbon monoxide detector so that you can always easily view its readings.
